if we don’t know each other yet, I’m Stephannie.

I want to live in a world where self-expression is offered and received wholeheartedly, and right now, my work is exploring my challenges to do that for myself. 

These are studies using my self-inquisitive poetry to make marks on paper. 

Using pencils, charcoal, acrylic paint, and oil pastels, I practiced embodying my words and making marks based on the feelings in my body and heart. 

I struggled and danced and cried and raged, and laughed a lot.
