Fear Storm | a poem

I’m learning to flourish

because I’m called to lead the way

and right now, I’m terrified

because who am I to lead the way?

Today it feels cloudy.

There’s a lull in the pervasive fear storm within me

that’s here to show me how I’m resisting

the call

this fear

as big as the dream,

necessarily

because to flourish is to grow

vigorously prosper,

which I glimpse

I feel the thrilling journey within me

and the storm clouds there

to remind me

we are the adventure

we are the vast sky.
